Atlanta’s Drunken Unicorn recently played host to local surf-punk group, Antarcticats,’ LP release celebration, a show every bit as high energy and dance-worthy as the album itself. The band debuted their first LP, I Know You Are, But What Am I? in late March, and it’s of course, been on repeat since. I Know You Are, But What Am I? has got it all, from the seamless transition from “East Coast Surf Punk” into fan-favorite “Teeth” to the upbeat and in love “You’ve Got Something” and the mellowed out “Groovy Grace.” And what celebration wouldn’t be complete without a few balloons and the four piece’s signature environmentally friendly fun facts in between songs. With originality and energy to spare, Antarcticats put on a more than memorable show that’s equal parts dance party and equal parts rock gig. The band is taking their talents all across the US in the coming months, so if you’re looking for a summer soundtrack, be sure catch them on their upcoming tour and listen to I Know You Are, But What Am I? here.
